Royal Fremantle Golf Club was established in 1905 and one of the few Golf Clubs that still occupies its original site and granted its Royal prefix in 1930.
We are a Premium Members Club with a championship golf course. Guests must be invited to play by a Member.
Members of Reciprocal Clubs may play at suitable times subject to availability and provide a letter of introduction from their Club.
Join us for a special event honouring our Club’s rich history with the Centenary Shield. First played in 2005, this event commemorates 100 years since the Club’s establishment.

Our course renovations have wrapped up smoothly, and we’re excited to welcome everyone back tomorrow! We’ll be playing a 4BBB Stableford—a relaxed and forgiving format, ideal as the course settles into its recovery. See you on the greens! ⛳✨
The 2024 Royal Challenge between Royal Fremantle Golf Club and @royalperthgolfclub marked the 18th edition of this cherished event since it began in 2007. This year, Royal Fremantle asserted its dominance, winning 15 matches, while Royal Perth secured 1 match.
The day concluded with a delightful lunch and presentation, fostering camaraderie between the two Royal clubs.
Congratulations to the overall winners, Gail Bergen and Fran Cattalini, who finished with an impressive score of 46 C/B. They narrowly edged out Jill Johnston and Shelley Banner, the Royal Fremantle runners-up, also with 46 C/B. Royal Fremantle’s third place was claimed by Kanya Ritchie and Tammy Tai, also scoring 46.
For Royal Perth, Rhonda Kremmer and Elizabeth Williams took the runner-up spot with 39, while Colette Nalder and Cheryl Dearlove secured third place with 37.
This longstanding tradition continues to strengthen the bond between the two WA Royal clubs, and we look forward to the 2025 event at Royal Perth.

The 2024 Royal Fremantle Club Championships was one to remember, bringing together our members for a display of exceptional talent, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. This year’s event saw remarkable participation, as players across various divisions competed for the prestigious titles in what was a thrilling competition.

Club Championship Round 2 - Championship Grade
Over the last week, the second round of the 2024 Club Championships was played, setting the stage for our Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and of course, Finals being played this coming weekend.
Our female contenders this year include a strong field of our juniors, but pleasingly includes Championship Runner Up Sarah Terrell. Zoe Grace Ong was fighting to keep her top spot and she didn’t disappoint, going into the quarter finals match play in second, having shot scores of 81-82 across the qualifying. Zoe Grace was narrowly beaten by Heejoo Cho, who has recently returned from the State Schools Championships, finished round 2 with a score of 82 (CB), which took her total score for the qualifying rounds to 162

On to the men’s match play, we see some amazing golf from new member, Nick Piani, who shot back-to-back 72s, with no signs of stopping, he looks to fight for the title of the Club Champion, in his first year as a member! But not far behind we have junior member, Mandeep Singh, who recently represented in the State Schools Championships also, sitting in second place with a second-round score of 77 he came home strong birding he’s last 2 holes (17 and 18) and with the quarter finals coming up who is wanting the win the most?
