At Royal Fremantle Golf Club we offer lessons from beginner to touring professional and have qualified PGA Professionals who offer individual coaching to suit all ages and requirements. Whether a half-hour lesson or intensive game improvement program, we’re able to structure a training schedule to help you achieve your goals.

Andy first started at RFGC around 1996 his role being the Head Teaching Professional for the then Head Pro Wayne Brenton. With over 30 years of experience as a PGA member, if Andy doesn’t know, it’s not that important. Andy approaches his teaching with passion, always trying to improve his knowledge and that of his students. He does this for a simple reason, he cares!
Andy is not confined to a method, he works with the student’s ability, body shape and injury history. For Andy, it’s not about having a perfect swing, it’s more about building YOUR signature, repeatable movements that you can trust and enjoy.
Steve is a PGA Professional and Master Club Fitter with over 30 years of experience. Steve is extremely passionate about the game of golf. He is also a seasoned competitor and plays on both the regular and Legends ProAm circuits across Australia.
Steve began his golf journey as a junior at Royal Fremantle, completed his Traineeship at Cottesloe Golf Club, worked at Sun City Golf Club for 10 years and has been at RFGC for over 20 years. To book with Steve, feel free to call the Pro Shop, or click the button below to send an email.
Oliver started his golfing career right here, at Royal Fremantle. Oliver shot through the Junior ranks to become one of Australia’s top players. Taking the step to College in 2013, Oliver received a full Golfing Scholarship at Tennessee University in the United States. It was in his time here, that Oliver really stepped it up.
Making it to the US Amateur Finals, playing against current European Tour player, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Goss came an agonising 2nd. Yet, this finish assured him a spot in 2 of Golf’s biggest professional events; the US Masters and the US Open.
After winning the Low Amateur Medal the US Masters, Oliver took the plunge into Professional Golf. At the end of 2018, Goss decided to move back to Perth, to pursue his love of the game in the form of teaching. Oliver takes on clients to help golfers of all levels improve their game.
Brian is an Accredited PGA Professional who has recently relocated to Perth from Ireland. Brian has worked in the golf industry for 10 years and has been teaching golfers of all abilities throughout this time.
Brian is also a keen player who has competed mainly on the Irish PGA region along with other mini tours around Europe.
Brian is looking forward to helping golfers of all levels take their game to the next stage through easy to understand techniques and advice
Ritchie has been a PGA Member of more than 20 years, and joined Royal Fremantle in early 2019. Ritchie is known Australia wide after many successes at elite level. He has been PGA Australian Coach of the Year twice (2014, 2021), WAPGA Coach of the Year 8 times, including the last 6 years, and is reigning WA Sport Coach of the Year.
His pupils include Tour Players Minjee Lee, Hannah Green, Min Woo Lee and Jarryd Felton as well as many of Australia’s leading amateurs.
His coaching model is compatible with all golfers and is based on maximising performance whilst acknowledging physical attributes. Though acknowledged as an elite level coach, Ritchie coaches golfers of all abilities.
