For more than a century, Royal Fremantle Golf Club has been home to one of Western Australia’s most historic and respected championship courses. Nestled in Fremantle’s rich heritage and natural beauty, the Club offers an exceptional golfing experience for members and visitors alike. With a proud tradition of developing world-class players and hosting prestigious tournaments, we remain committed to fostering excellence, inclusivity, and community – both on and off the course.
A huge result for Royal Fremantle`s, @haydenhopewell 👏
Hopewell has claimed victory at the 2026/27 Final Stage of Qualifying School, finishing an impressive 15-under par to secure a four-shot win and earn his place on the @pgatouraus
A familiar face around the Club, Hayden’s late charge and composed performance under pressure made for a well-deserved win and one we’re incredibly proud to celebrate.
Hayden will now return to Europe where he has status on the @hotelplannertour. We look forward to following his journey and cheering him on every step of the way ⛳️
It’s Masters Week! ⛳️
Wishing our own Min Woo Lee all the very best as he tees it up at @themasters
A proud moment for the Club to see one of our own take on one of golf’s biggest stages! We’ll be watching closely (and perhaps waking up a little earlier than usual 😴).
Good luck, @minwoo27lee 💚
Easter is best shared, whether it’s on the course, around the table, or chasing chocolate with the kids 🐰
Wishing our members a wonderful Easter weekend.

A proud night for Royal Fremantle Golf Club and one we’re more than happy to celebrate!
We are incredibly proud to have won the inaugural Women and Girls in Golf Award at the WA Golf Industry Awards, alongside strong fellow finalists The Vines Resort and Busselton Golf Club.
This recognition reflects a program that is not only growing the game, but delivering real impact—led by PGA Associate Madeline Baxter. Launching in late 2024, we achieved a 53% membership conversion rate across our first two programs, with three programs now completed and our fourth and fifth selling out within two weeks of opening. To date, 60 women have completed the Women’s Golf Fundamentals program, with another 41 set to commence in April 2026.
Beyond the program, our Women’s Working Group continues to play an important role within the Club, acting as a conduit between the Board and female membership, supporting operations, and advancing leadership pathways, including representation at Board level.
Our junior pathway is equally strong, with girls making up 40% of our junior membership. Our Junior Girls Pennant teams continue to dominate, with both Division 1 and 3 securing back-to-back wins, and a healthy waitlist supporting ongoing growth into membership. Together, these initiatives are building a clear and sustainable pathway for women and girls at every stage of their golfing journey and fostering a strong community within the Club.
Congratulations to our own Minjee Lee on being named WA Golfer of the Year for the sixth time, and to Ritchie Smith on receiving PGA WA High Performance Coach of the Year.
A fantastic result across the board—and a great moment for our Club and community. ⛳️💚
Looking after our team is a priority at the Club 💚
With many of our staff spending long hours outdoors, access to preventative health initiatives is more important than ever. We were pleased to offer complimentary skin checks onsite, making it easy for our team to take a proactive approach to their health.
A sincere thank you to our member, Dr Flynn, for generously giving his time and expertise to support this initiative. It’s a meaningful example of how our Club community looks after one another.
Small acts, big impact. This is Royal Fremantle.
⛳️ Which hole is this?? Bonus points for the official name 👏🏼
A hat trick for @hannahgreengolf 👏🏼
An incredible achievement and brilliant display of composure and class. Congratulations Hannah
A special day on the Club calendar, the Diamantina Trophy continues a proud tradition and longstanding connection with the @royalaustraliannavy
First presented in 1964 by the Officers of HMAS Diamantina “in appreciation of hospitality extended”, the event remains a meaningful link between the Club and the defence force. ⛴️⚓️
It was a pleasure to welcome Captain Ken Burleigh and Lieutenant Commander Thomas Costello to the Club as we continued this tradition.

We’re excited to share that Royal Fremantle Golf Club is a finalist in the Women and Girls in Golf category at the WA Golf Industry Awards 🏆
A great recognition of the Club’s commitment to growing the game and creating opportunities for women and girls to get involved. ⛳️💚
Congratulations to the other finalists, and we look forward to finding out the winner at the awards night on Friday 27 March.
A great afternoon at the Club as our members and guests came together to shake things up at our Cocktail Masterclass. 🍸
The ladies enjoyed a hands-on session learning how to mix five classic cocktails, with plenty of laughs along the way. From Espresso Martinis to Whiskey Sours, everyone picked up a few new tricks behind the bar 🔥
To keep the fun going at home, each guest left with their own cocktail shaker kit, homemade sugar syrup and a custom Royal Fremantle cocktail booklet, ready to recreate the favourites and impress their friends!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a lively afternoon. We may have created a few future mixologists along the way. 😉
The 2026 season is officially underway at the Club. ⛳️
Across the weeks we celebrated our Opening of Season for members of all ages, marking the start of another year of golf, competition and camaraderie.
Club Captain, Andrew Langdon launched the season with the traditional opening tee shot, while Life Member, Ann Maker had the honour of striking the opening drive for the Women’s Opening of Season. Our junior members also teed off their season, continuing the strong tradition of golf across every generation at the Club.
Here’s to a fantastic season ahead for everyone at Royal Fremantle. 💚
A wonderful day at Royal Fremantle for the playing of the Campion Cup, one of the Club’s most historic events.
Donated in 1930 by WA Governor and member Sir William Campion, the Cup commemorates the year Fremantle Golf Club was granted the Royal prefix by King George V — making us the first Royal club in Western Australia. More than 90 years on, this mixed foursomes event remains a special part of our Club calendar.
