Play it Like the Pros – A Thank You to Our Volunteers
Published on 12th January 2026Following an extraordinary week hosting the Webex Players Series, the Club was proud to host a special Play it Like the Pros event dedicated entirely to our volunteers — the people who quietly and generously power everything we do.
Across the tournament week, more than 100 volunteers contributed an incredible 300+ shifts, supporting operations on and off the course with professionalism, enthusiasm and unwavering Club spirit. From early starts to long days, their commitment ensured the event ran smoothly and showcased Royal Fremantle at its very best.
The Play it Like the Pros event was our way of saying thank you — inviting volunteers to experience the course set up in tournament conditions and enjoy a well-earned day of camaraderie, competition and celebration. The atmosphere reflected exactly what makes our volunteer community so special: supportive, inclusive and full of pride in the Club.
Congratulations to Cliff Tarry, who claimed the win on the day, with Julie Harris-Jones finishing as Runner Up. Nearest-to-the-Pin honours went to Clayton Gunning, Jane Causer and Peter Pusmacans.
To every volunteer who gave their time, energy and care throughout the week — thank you. Your contribution does not go unnoticed, and events of this calibre simply would not be possible without you. Royal Fremantle Golf Club is incredibly grateful for all that you do.
